Tram 2 - Sightseeing in Budapest

Female drivers?🚊 This is very common in #Budapest, yet it was one of the surprising discoveries for me when I arrived here.

You can come across them in trams, buses, trolleybuses, metros and taxis - zoom in the photo and see now. ☺️

Trams are my most favorite public transportation here. The very first #tram in Budapest began operating 133 years ago, just six years after the first tram in the world was inaugurated in Germany in 1881. But it was only in 1979 when women were allowed to drive here.

Tram 2 is one of my most favorites - hopping on it is one of the most beautiful and cheapest ways of sightseeing in Budapest. Going along the #Danube riverbank, it shows you several iconic places from #HungarianParliament and the #GreshamPalace to #ChainBridge and the#NationalMuseum. 😍
