There are three schemes supported within Visegrad scholarship program:

  2. Out-Going Scholarships: For scholars or researchers from Member States for studies at accredited universities in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine on Master’s and post-Master’s degree levels;

What does the scholarship include?

  • Tuition fee of €1,500/semester: This amount is paid to the host university by the Fund. If the tuition fee at the university you chose exceeds the lump sum per semester, you will have to cover the remaining sum by yourself.

  • Scholarship in the amount of €2,500 per semester: This money will be at your full disposal and you are free to distribute it according to your needs. The Fund does not cover any additional costs (visa fees, health insurance, accommodation, etc.).

* The payments from the Fund will be transferred at the beginning of each five-month period (semester) upon a written arrival confirmation from the host university.

Eligibility

  • Your previous university degree must have been completed in a country different from the one the you apply to. If you completed your previous studies in one of the V4 countries (e.g. you hold a Czech BA degree), you cannot apply for further studies in the same country (e.g. MA in Czech Republic) but can decide for a different V4 country.

  • The country of citizenship must also differ from the host country.
